Academic year extends from April to March.
Admission to DCS is based on a candidate’s competency for a particular standard and the availability of seats.
Primary & Middle Section (I to VIII)
Admission to these classes is based on the performance of the child in the entrance test and the subject to the availability of seats.
Senior Secondary Section (XI, XII)
Admission to Sr. Secondary Section is based on a child’s performance at the Board Exam. The child must have passed from CBSE or any other board recognized by the CBSE. The school may in its own discretion may ask the student to give an Entrance Test. The school offers both science and commerce streams.
Types of Admission
The school has two types of admission - residential and day boarding. The school admits only limited number of students in a class as higher teacher-student ratio is maintained thoughout. The class strength is limited to 25 to 30.
Pre-Primary Section (Nursery, KG)
Admission to the Nursery class is based on the child’s ability to be independent of parents. Children are admitted on ‘first come first served’ basis.
Secondary Section (IX, X)
The school does not encourage any fresh admission to these classes. However, in case of emergency, such admissions are granted subject to a child’s performance in the entrance Test and the subject to the availability of seats.
Eligible candidates listed in the waiting list will be intimated as and when a vacancy arises. This list will be valid only for a period of two months since the clearance of the test.
